I graduated from UNR with a Bachelors in Social Work in 2010 and then spent some time working as a camp counselor at Lake Tahoe. Then I traveled to Nairobi, Kenya to work on promoting literacy at a school called School of the Nations. Upon returning to the US, I went back to school and received a Masters in Social Work at UNLV. Since that time, I have worked in two different psychiatric hospitals, but my heart has always been for therapy, working with individuals and families to better their mental health and relationships.
I am a generalist practitioner who can work with any type of client. My specialties are in working with adults and adolescents who suffer from depression, anxiety, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I also specialize in helping those who have suffered trauma.
I would love to get to know you and your needs in therapy. Please reach out and let's get started on making your life into what you have envisioned for yourself. You got this!

Through guidance I hope to engage individuals and families in finding the encouragement and strength to foster their own resilience and self-sufficiency with adversities. An individual is never alone and can find practical skills to overcome challenges.
I graduated with my Bachelor's in Psychology in 2017 from UNLV and went almost immediately into a Master's program for social work. I graduated with my MSW in 2020, also from UNLV. Throughout my education, I was working as a behavioral therapist with children affected by Autism. I also have experience working in the community to correct systematic injustices. I recognize that there are times when someone's mental health is affected by what is going on around them, not just what is going on in their own mind.
I have a generalist experience in mental health; mainly utilizing aspects of cognitive behavioral techniques, dialectical behavioral mechanisms, and trauma informed practices.
The modalities and techniques I would use with you in therapy include CBT, DBT, Trauma focused CBT, Solution focused, Strengths-based approaches, and Evidence Based Intervention Seeking Safety.

I graduated from UNLV with a Bachelors in Psychology, and took 20 years off of school. During that time, I worked in group homes with teenagers struggling with substance abuse, anger, and other mental health conditions. My primary role was to help them manage and control extreme emotional crises. Part of what I started to understand is the complex nature of mental health and the need to create wrap-around services and a clinical team to help support and empower clients.
I then joined the military and served 8 years with the Navy police. I worked with combat veterans as they were transitioning from military life back to family life. I was deployed to Bahrain 3 times during my career and enjoyed learning from the different cultures, religions, and experiences of people from around the world. It was an amazing opportunity to get out of myself and develop a deeper cultural awareness.
As a Masters level social work student, I served in the Las Vegas Rescue Mission where I taught parenting classes and assisted homeless mothers and fathers in finding housing, food, and employment. I also worked in the addiction recovery program there and facilitated groups with individuals seeking a new, and sober, life.
I have also worked with clients at a therapy agency in Las Vegas dealing with grief, loss, anxiety, trauma, and depression. I find it rewarding to assist people who are struggling with these issues and look forward to helping them find healthy ways to cope and overcome.
I was born and raised in Las Vegas and come from a large family. I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, and exploring the desert with my family. I also am a foodie and will go out to eat and try new restaurants as much as possible!
